Principal Designer

A Principal Designer is the competent professional appointed to plan, manage, and coordinate health and safety during the pre construction phase of a project. Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), the Principal Designer ensures that risks are identified early, designed out where possible, and effectively communicated to everyone involved.

Acting on behalf of the client, the Principal Designer works closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to make sure the project is designed and delivered safely. This includes reviewing design information, coordinating the work of all designers, and ensuring that health and safety considerations are embedded into the project from concept through to construction.

Our Principal Designer service provides clients with confidence that their legal duties are met, risks are proactively managed, and the project is set up for safe, efficient delivery.
