Residential Fire Risk Assessments

Type 1, 2, 3 and 4 assessments

We undertake residential fire risk assessments across purpose-built blocks of flats, converted properties, mixed-use developments, supported housing and complex residential portfolios.

Assessments can be undertaken at the appropriate level, including Type 1, Type 2, Type 3 and Type 4 assessments in accordance with BS 9792. The required assessment type is determined by the building, available information, known risks and the extent to which the construction needs to be examined.

Our assessments consider the common parts, evacuation strategy, means of escape, fire detection and warning, smoke control, compartmentation, fire doors, facilities for the fire and rescue service and fire safety management arrangements. Findings are presented through a clear, prioritised action plan that distinguishes immediate life-safety concerns from longer-term improvements and asset-management considerations.
