Stephen Todd
Principal Engineer
Stephen is a Chartered Principle Mechanical, Electrical and Sustainability Engineer with over 10 years experience leading projects and TDD in many sectors including education, healthcare, heritage, Industry, leisure, offices and residential from RIBA stage 1 through to RIBA stage 6.
With a Masters degree in designing sustainable buildings and a PhD in designing naturally ventilated buildings, Stephen is well placed to provide advice and design input on projects with an aspiration of achieving Net Zero and recognised sustainability benchmarks such as BREEAM and NABERS (UK). Stephen is also a Low Carbon Consultant (LCC) and a Low Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA) with CIBSE and will lead Jones Hargreaves’ building physics capabilities on both new build and retrofit projects.
Outside of the office, Stephen enjoys time with his wife and son. Any spare time is spent brewing (and drinking!) beers & wines and distilling spirits as well as growing fruit and vegetables with aspirations to produce enough each year to be fully self-sufficient. Any further spare time is spent on home improvements including a recent small extension.
