An updated EPC assessment (rating C72) was completed for the property, supported by a costed pathway report outlining three viable routes to achieving an EPC Band B rating.

Following review of the pathway options, the client selected the upgrade and refurbishment of the existing air handling units (AHUs). Our M&E team led the detailed design and project management of the works, which included the refurbishment of all 10 AHUs, incorporating enhanced heat recovery and improved fan efficiencies to optimise performance and reduce energy consumption. Upon completion of the upgrade works, a new EPC assessment was commissioned, resulting in a Band B rating of 50 for the building.

Throughout the project, our in‑house energy consultants undertook the EPC assessments and provided projected ratings at each stage to ensure the building remained on track to achieve Band B.
